【腸胃健康小誤會?】

有關改善腸胃健康,大家一直會有很多疑問。今天就和大家了解一下4個小誤會吧!

1️⃣ 腸胃弱不能進食較酸食物?

味道較酸食物如橙、蕃茄、西柚不會傷害胃壁,因此兩者無直接關係。但刺激性食物如辛辣食物、含咖啡因或酒精飲料便會刺激胃酸分泌,成為腸胃健康隱憂之一。


2️⃣乳酸飲料有助消化?

乳酸飲料的活性乳酸菌的確可增加腸道益菌,改善吸收及蠕動能力,但容易因存放不當而減少。相反,添加大量糖份令幫助益菌於腸道繁殖的細胞減少,導致腸菌失衡。


3️⃣不吃早餐對腸胃有不良影響?

長時間空腹容易令胃酸分泌過多,或因而過度飢餓而進食過多。這有機會攝取過多熱量致肥之外,亦對胃部產生壓力,容易胃脹。


4️⃣肚咕嚕叫(腸嗚)只與肚餓有關?

肚餓是原因之一,是因胃內沒食物而持續蠕動所發出的聲音。但當進食過急、進食產氣食物或有腸躁症的人士,均會出現腸嗚的狀況。

To improve gut health, we may have many questions in mind. Let's tell 4 misunderstandings about gut health.

1️⃣ Taste sour food is unsuitable for poor digestion?

Orange, tomatoes, grapefruits won't damage the stomach wall, thus there is no direct relationship. Yet, some irritative food like spicy food, alcoholic or caffeinated drinks which promote gastric acid secretion could be one of the concerns for gut health.


2️⃣Lactic beverages are beneficial to digestion?

Active lactic acid bacteria (LAB) theoretically promote the absorption and peristalsis. However, its amount is probably reduced due to improper storage. In contrast, added sugar reduces the cell for probiotic colonisation, resulting in gut microbiota imbalance.


3️⃣Skipping breakfast adversely affects our gut health?

Too long fasting period may cause the increased gastric secretion, or over-intake due to extreme hunger. This results in weight gain, stress on the stomach or bloating.


4️⃣Stomach growling ONLY related to hunger?

Hunger is one of the reasons as the growling sound is caused by continuous moving of an empty stomach. Moreover, eating too fast, having gas producing food or people with irritative bowel syndrome (IBS) would cause stomach growling.
