【傳統月餅都有唔同?】適逢中秋佳節,賞月的同時當然少不了月餅及應節水果,更是少不得傳統月餅應節,傳統月餅的主要的成份包括蓮蓉及蛋黃。


製作蓮蓉餡料的傳統做法會先把蓮子浸透加水煮熟,然後經過隔水和擣碎,再加入砂糖和用油炒香,最後加入麥芽糖拌勻,亦成了主要糖份的來源。此外,月餅一般使用鹹鴨蛋,其蛋黃經過醃製而成,屬加工食品並含高鈉質。

[Differences between traditional mooncakes 】Mid-Autumn Festival is 3 days to go, we believe that everyone is preparing fruits and the most beloved traditional mooncake for admiring the moon. The main ingredients of traditional mooncakes often include lotus seed paste and salted egg yolk.


The traditional method of making lotus seed paste fillings usually requires boiling the lotus seeds until soft. Lotus seed will then be drained and ground into a smooth paste with sugar. Afterward, the lotus seed paste is stir-fried with oil, this can enhance the smell. Last but not least maltose is stirred in, which is the main source of sugar. Traditional lotus seed paste and yolks mooncakes usually use the yolk of salted duck eggs, which are processed and contain high sodium.


Friendly reminder: It is not recommended to have more than a quarter of a traditional mooncake a day.
