【大麻二酚係啲咩?】- 營養生Negimen

【What is cannabidiol?】Recently some restaurants or food products would use cannabidiol (CBD), but what is CBD and what benefits is brought to humans?

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis and diluted with coconut oil or hemp seed oil. Different from the drug called tetrahydrocannabinols (THC), CBD would not make you hyper with negative or addictive effects.

CBD is scientifically proven to be effective for reducing chronic pain and inflammation as it may affect the endocannabinoid system. It is also able to improve your sleep quality and alter your mood for relaxation. Therefore, it suits to deal with stress, anxiety and depression with a dosage of 300-600mg daily.

However, it may cause side effects such as nausea, fatigue or loss of appetite. Since there is no regulation and dosage recommendation in Hong Kong, it is not suggested to buy the CBD products yourself, preventing some products with THC or other impurities. If needed, please inform your doctor for advice.
