口臭很容易讓我們直接聯想到是因為個人不良衛生習慣或進食較濃味的食物引起,但其實與飲食習慣亦息息相關。
較常見的情況包括因蛋白質攝入過多,身體來不及吸收和分解,此過程會產生氨氣散發著難聞的氣味,混合腸道細菌於分解食物殘渣時會產生可揮發硫化物,促使口臭的形成。

More common situations include high protein intake, the body tends to spend less time for absorption and decomposition. This process will produce ammonia and emit an unpleasant smell. When intestinal bacteria decompose food residues, volatile sulphur compounds hence cause bad breath to form.
