Snacks are always considered the killer of health, but we hardly resist them. Although most of them consist of lots of additives, colorings, and preservatives, there are some healthy choices. Let’s look deeper into it!

Popcorn basically is a complex carbohydrate with high fibre content, which helps prolong satiety and peristalsis. However, since we add seasonings like chocolate, caramel, and butter, the sugar and fat content are also greatly increased. It is suggested to choose those in salted or unflavored. You may also use natural herbs like paprika powder to make your homemade popcorn with a microwave.

Almond and dark chocolate are rich in vitamin E and magnesium respectively, and both have a calming effect that can relieve your stress and anxiety. Rice crackers and black beans are roasted or baked instead of deep-frying, thus the fat content is greatly reduced. Besides, every 30g of black bean provides 5g of protein, which reduces hunger and tissue repair.
